Dear Parents:

Your children’s safety and security are of paramount importance to us. As you know, we’ve been on the lookout for a new director for our childcare center.

In looking for a childcare director, we needed a person we could trust with our kids, someone who could step into any role required at the center and finally be able to coach and direct our staff to deliver an even higher standard of care for our precious little students. We are happy to report that we have found all that and more in Mr. Michael Tanimoto.

Mr. Mike came out on top after an interview process in which we poured over 63 different applications, interviewed 14 candidates and finally had the top 4 go through a parent panel, where 5 of your fellow parents put the candidates through a grueling 30 minute interview.

The parents on the panel were very impressed by Mr. Mike’s thorough experience – 26 years in childcare including over 10 years as a childcare director, a lifetime as a children’s wrestling and Judo coach, and almost a decade operating a child gymnastics business. Mr. Tanimoto comes to us from Hawaii where he directed KCAA – one of Hawaii’s best preschool systems through the top ranked NAEYC accreditation.

Mike recently decided to move from Hawaii to Keller, Texas with his wife Kerry and two children, Kodi and Kacey. Mike’s daughter Kacey will be competing for the state wrestling championship this weekend in Cypress. Please join us in giving Mike a warm welcome to TKA and wishing Kacey all the best for this weekend’s tournament.  

We will be hosting an open house meet and greet with Mr. Mike next week. Date and timing will be updated in Bright wheel once confirmed.
